We had a wonderful time riding on Bill's boat while visiting Morehead City, NC this Thanksgiving. Bill and Sandy are always wonderful about treating up to the most incredible adventures on the water. This was Lleyton's 2nd boat ride and Morghan's 5th year riding with Bill on the boat. All Morghan begs for is to go faster. I'm afraid she has inherited her momma's need for speed!!! Lleyton was a little upset when we bundled him up and put on his life jacket. He does not like being restrained in any manner. We quickly found out that he loved looking for birds and boats which would take his mind off his frustrations. He fell asleep on the boat ride back. We must have worn him out on the beach.
As you can see, Lleyton was quite bundled up. This was the beginning of our boat trip.
He was very uncomfortable.
Morghan was just loving life.

These are the wild horses on Shackleford Banks. Legend says that these horses are direct descendants of Spanish mustangs that were shipped wrecked hundreds of years ago. Historical research and genetics testing indicates that these wild horses descended from a core group of the old type of Spanish horses.
This is another picture of the wild horses. We were lucky to see them so close to the shore. It was hard getting a good picture from the boat because we were rocking and moving. We saw about 8-9 horses. On the way back from Cape Lookout, we even saw one horse walking in the surf on the beach! How incredible!

This got Lleyton's attention!!!! Like I said, he loves birds. When we spotted the shrimping/fishing boat, Bill knew we had to get closer. There were hundreds of pelicans and seagulls following this boat, trying to get a little to eat. It was an amazing site. This picture does not do it justice.
We are quickly approaching Cape Lookout Lighthouse.
Morghan can't wait to get to the beach!!!
