We were so excited to see Nana and Papaw! They came to town for a week in October. We all thoroughly enjoyed their visit and was sad to see them go. Morghan and Lleyton were well taken care of when they were here and had plenty of attention. I had an opportunity to substitute for a teacher on my old team because I had in home child care that made it so easy for me to go out and earn some extra cash.
As you can see in these pictures, we visited a state park that is north of Morgantown, called Cooper's Rock. Here, there is a beautiful overlook and many exciting trails to explore. Morghan enjoyed herself so much and Lleyton just slept in the carrier. We began our visit with a picnic and ended it with a walk down Rattlesnake Trail. Along this mountaintop are many rock formations that are incredible and have endured all types of weathering. Papaw found Morghan the perfect "walking stick" that she carried throughout our journey. We still have it sticking up in a flower pot on our porch. This was a great reminder of how we live in such a beautiful part of the country and not to take it for granted.
Besides a lot of shopping, Nana and Papaw ended their trip with the second annual pumpkin carving that Morghan helps assist. I will post pictures of all of our Halloween activities in the next post. Dad is so creative and talented when it comes to pumpkin carving and successfully carved a Count Dracula this year.
All in all, we had a wonderful visit with Mom and Dad and can't wait to visit all of our family at Christmas!
